PAPERWORK DUE BY WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23RD!

Each year at the start of the school year we are challenged with the task of ensuring that ALL 7th grade students meet the state immunization requirements prior to enrolling in 7th grade.  Unfortunately, each year we have so many families that have to rush around and try to get immunizations or updated immunization records prior to the start of school.  With that said, WE WANT TO HELP so that you and your child get to start on day one of the 2025-2026 school year.

Per the state of Texas, all students entering 7th grade are required to meet the  immunization requirements below before enrolling in 7th grade.  If your student is not immunized or we do not have an updated record with the required vaccines, your child will not be able to start 7th grade on the first day of school.

DON’T WAIT!!

To better assist you and your student, we will be hosting an immunization clinic provided by Aurora Concepts on Friday, April 25th, 2025. For those with no insurance coverage, the cost of each vaccine is $10. The vaccines are free for those with verified insurance policies. For those interested in this fabulous opportunity, the proper paperwork and/or online paperwork must be completed and submitted by Wednesday, April 23rd to give Aurora Concepts time to get the vaccines ready and to verify insurance policies. As long as your paperwork is completed and signed on paper or online, then your child will receive their immunization on the morning of Friday, April 25th, 2025.

This is a great opportunity for you to have your student immunized without you having to take off work and it will be one less thing you have to worry about before they start 7th grade.  As long as your hard copy or online paperwork and permission forms are provided and approved, you are not required to be present for your student to receive the requested immunizations.

Texas Immunization Laws require all students entering into 7th Grade to be up-to-date with the following immunizations:

●      Tdap

●      Meningococcal (MCV4)

If you intend to take advantage of this great opportunity please have your student stop by the school clinic or front office to pick up the paperwork. You may also use this link to do the paperwork online.

If you are not sure what immunizations your student needs, call Nurse Barahona at 936-435-6413 and she will look up your student’s record.  If you feel your student has already received the required vaccines to start 7th grade, please bring a copy of your student’s current shot record to the school and provide it directly to Nurse Barahona. You can simply request to speak with Nurse Barahona at the front desk to provide your shot record, we ask that you please not drop it off at the front desk due to the possibility of it not making it to the Nurse's Office in a timely manner. You can also email the shot record to Nurse Barahona but ask that you please include Mr. Campbell on that email.

Thank you and I hope you will take advantage of this great opportunity.

Sincerely,

Yolanda Barahona, RN
