We want to bring to your attention House Bill 114(HB114), recently passed legislation related to vaping offenses and mandatory removals.
HB 114 Mandates that any student found possessing, using, being under the influence of, selling, giving, or delivering marijuana, THC, e-cigarettes, or any vaping-related products within 300 feet of the school premises shall be removed to a disciplinary alternative education program (DAEP).
In accordance with HB114, Huntsville ISD shall fully comply with the new legislative mandate currently written.
Students will be reminded of this new legislation during our beginning of the school year class meetings.
