INFO FOR SENIORS

• Arrive no later than 8:45 am and report to the Health and Kinesiology Center (HKC Building) across the street from the Coliseum

• Dress in accordance to the tradition, dignity, and formality of this occasion. Dress Code Guidelines: Male students are asked to wear white or lightly colored long-sleeved, button-up shirts with dark ties. Dress slacks or black pressed jeans with dress shoes or nice boots are acceptable. Female students are asked to wear dresses, skirt suits, or pants and dress shoes. Blue jeans and khakis are discouraged; and for safety reasons, extremely high heels are also discouraged. Shorts and shower shoes or flip-flops are not permissible. Additionally, please refrain from chewing gum as this is a formal ceremony.

• LEAVE ALL PERSONAL BELONGINGS IN YOUR CAR OR WITH YOUR PARENTS, INCLUDING YOUR PHONE. If you have them with you, they will be confiscated by the APs.

• All students must wear their cap tassel on the RIGHT SIDE of their head.

• No inappropriate actions will be tolerated at any time. Violators will be escorted out of the arena and will NOT be allowed to participate in graduation.

INFO FOR GUESTS

• The Coliseum doors will open for guests at 9:00am on Saturday morning.

• No tickets are needed.

• There are no limits to the number of guests.

• Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Accessible seating is available in sections M, N and O for guests with disabilities. Please direct any questions to the SHSU staff and/or ushers who are able to direct and escort upon request.

• Family and friends are encouraged to pre-arrange a place to meet up with your graduates outside of the coliseum after the ceremony as graduates will exit the facility upon the conclusion of the ceremony.

Johnson Coliseum Clear Bag Policy

There is a clear bag policy in place at the Johnson Coliseum (clear bag no larger than 12x12x6 or purse no larger than 4.5x6.5) and there will be a security bag check prior to entering.
