The FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL for the 2024-2025 School Year will be Monday, August 19, 2024.  

Families should monitor the HISD website and social media over the summer months for the most up-to-date information.

Winter Break / Early Release at 1:00 PM - Friday, December 20, 2024

First Day of Second Semester for Students - Wednesday, January 8, 2025

Last Day of School for Students / Early Release at 1:00 PM - Thursday, May 22, 2025

Graduation - Saturday, May 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM

In accordance with the directives in HB 3033, the Board’s designee the Public Information Officer must designate up to 10 "nonbusiness days" per calendar year, along with any state and national holiday closures, when the District will be closed and not open for Public Information Act request processing.
