Involvement/Support

What is the HISD Buyers Group? 
The HISD Buyers Group is comprised of district faculty, staff, parents, business and community partners who join forces to raise funds annually to support our HISD students who participate with show projects in the annual Walker County Fair & Rodeo each spring.  To who our students how much we support them the HISD Buyers Group bids on and purchases as many student projects as we possible in all show categories including livestock, horticulture, baked & canned goods, crafts, artwork and supervised projects in the Premium and Freezer Sales.

On average, the Buyers Group raises $25,000 - $35,000 annually to help support our students!  The more money we raise means the more students we can help.

How can YOU support the HISD Buyers Group?

HISD Staff Members:

Join the Buyers group -
Each year the district conducts a leveled membership drive with a payroll deduction option.  All membership donations along with other funds raised go to support our students.  Each membership level includes jean passes and some even include tickets to the annual fundraiser Dinner & Auction held in early February.

We simply can't do this without the continued support of our generous business and community members!  

A large part of our fundraising efforts comes from our annual Dinner and Auction which is scheduled for Saturday, February 8th, 2025. Tickets are presale $50 each or $350 for a table of 8. We appreciate sponsorships with table advertising and acknowledgement throughout the event is included. Tax-deductible donations of any amount are also welcomed!    

DINNER & AUCTION:  Purchase individual tickets, or a table for 8 people to attend our annual fundraiser dinner and auction. 

DONATIONS:  Your tax-deductible donations, large and small, help us support our students in a big way!
